Stack Tracker Guide: Track Your Physical Gold and Silver Portfolio

The Stack Tracker is GoldKurs.ch's portfolio management tool for physical precious metals. Unlike financial portfolio trackers, it is designed specifically for physical holdings: coins, bars, different metals, different purchase dates and currencies.

Adding Your First Holdings

Navigate to Stack Tracker → Add Position. Enter: metal (gold/silver/platinum/palladium), form (coin/bar/other), quantity in grams or ounces, purchase price and currency, purchase date, and storage location. The tracker automatically calculates current value using live prices and shows your P&L in CHF, EUR or USD.

Live P&L and Performance

The dashboard shows total portfolio value at current market prices, total invested capital, absolute and percentage gain/loss per position and overall, and annualised return since purchase. All values update automatically with the live gold/silver prices.

Multi-Currency View

Switch between CHF, EUR and USD at any time. The tracker uses live exchange rates from the SNB and major forex sources. This is particularly useful for Swiss investors who bought gold in USD and want to see CHF-denominated returns.
